5 things to do at Lansdowne on game day
Tackle Hunger
Be sure to bring non-perishable food or cash donations to TD Place when you head to the game Friday night. As part of the Purolator Tackle Hunger Weekend, the REDBLACKS and Ottawa Fury FC have challenged residents of the area to donate a total of 55,000 pounds of non-perishable food (cash donations also welcome). Fans who donate can have their picture taken with the Grey Cup and will be entered for a change to win an autographed REDBLACKS jersey.
Pick up your Ottawa 67’s home opener ticket
Before taking your seats to watch the REDBLACKS host the Argonauts, head over to Box Office and pick up your ticket to Sunday’s Ottawa 67’s home opener. The club is looking to improve off back-to-back playoff appearances under head coach/GM Jeff Brown and need your help to take that next step.
Check out the Cabin!
The Subaru Log Cabin has already become a popular attraction for football fans looking to take in the game from a different perspective. Located behind the west end zone, the special section features its own bar and exclusive platform for watching the REDBLACKS in action. Check out the REDBLACKS on Facebook to learn how to get your ticket to the Subaru Log Cabin!
Patio livin’
The summer may be coming to an end but the warm weather isn’t gone yet! Take advantage of the last of the patio days for the 2016 season and head over to one of Lansdowne’s many restaurant and bar options, several of which boat impressive patio setups. The newest patio offering belongs to Craft, while favourites like Local, Joey’s, Milestones, Crust & Crate and Jack Astor’s also offer great outdoor dining options.
adidas swag
If you haven’t checked out the new merchandise shop – located next to the box office – and picked up your new REDBLACKS gear, now’s the time to do it. In addition to the new Adidas jerseys released this season, the company has put out a full line of REDBLACKS apparel that is proving to be very popular. Pop on over and grab a scarf, they’ll be 20% all game day and are a great way to show off your RED and BLACK this fall.
