OTTAWA-GATINEAU – The Ottawa Christmas Market presented by TD Bank is thrilled to announce that JUNO Award-winning Canadian singer-songwriter, Chantal Kreviazuk, will join the festivities and perform on opening night, Friday, November 29^th.

Chantal will transport us to an intimate festive seasonal universe, performing songs from her latest and first Christmas album, “Christmas Is A Way of Life, My Dear,” under a canopy of twinkling Ottawa Christmas Market lights in Casino Lac-Leamy Plaza at Lansdowne.

Over the years, Chantal Kreviazuk has collaborated with superstars like Drake, Pitbull, Christina Aguilera, Carrie Underwood, Kendrick Lamar and Pink.  As a solo artist, she burst onto the Canadian music scene in 1996 with her debut album “Under the Rocks and Stones,” which earned Chantal a Juno Award nomination as “Best New Artist” in 1997.  Her second album, “Colour Moving and Still,” won the Winnipeg native two Juno Awards, Best Adult/Pop Album and Best Female Artist.  Chantal has released 5 other studio albums including her new Christmas masterpiece, and she has appeared on many soundtracks for films and television.

The Ottawa Christmas Market presented by TD Bank is the National Capital’s first authentic European-style Christmas celebration.  It opens at 5:00 PM on Nov. 29^th followed at 6:00 by the lighting of the spectacular Lansdowne Christmas tree and Chantal’s performance at 6:30. Le Marché de Noël d’Ottawa présenté par la Banque TD est heureux d’annoncer que l’auteure-compositrice-interprète canadienne lauréate de prix JUNO, Chantal Kreviazuk, se joindra aux festivités le vendredi 29 novembre, lors de la première soirée d’activités.

Chantal nous transportera dans un univers saisonnier festif et intime, en interprétant des chansons de son nouveau et premier album de Noël, “Christmas Is A Way of Life, My Dear”, sous une verrière de lumières scintillantes du marché de Noël d’Ottawa à la Plaza du Casino du Lac-Leamy à Lansdowne.

Le Marché de Noël d’Ottawa présenté par la Banque TD est la première célébration de Noël authentique de style européen dans la capitale nationale.  Il débutera à 17 h le 29 novembre, suivi à 18 h par l’illumination du spectaculaire sapin de Noël Lansdowne et la représentation de Chantal à 18 h 30.
